Half In Half Out
This work is part of my series of altered school desks. My intention with Half In Half Out was to visually reconstruct and create the discarded half of the desk. The paper is held loosely to the wall by the center of the physical chair. The wooden half is jutting out into the space while the drawn half recedes into the implied depth in the paper.
